On September 18-20, the Fourth National Symposium on genetic disease diagnosis, birth defect prediction and eugenics consultation and the Establishment Ceremony of Jinan birth defect prevention and control center were held in Jinan, Shandong Province

Birth defects are public health problems related to population quality and group health level. With the increase of older pregnant women, the situation of birth defects prevention and control is more severe. This seminar invited domestic well-known experts to conduct academic exchanges and discussions on the interpretation of policies related to birth defect prevention and control, accurate diagnosis and comprehensive prevention and control of chromosomal and genomic diseases, genetic and metabolic diseases and other hot issues. As the leader of clinical mass spectrometry industry in China, Yingsheng biology was invited to attend the meeting. During the satellite meeting, Mr. Jiao Guobin, assistant general manager of Yingsheng biology, shared the "precision medicine platform to help mother and baby health" and introduced the one-stop mass spectrometry solution of Yingsheng biology in detail, which was unanimously recognized by experts attending the meeting. At the same time, many experts and scholars came to Yingsheng booth to have a deep understanding of a series of products, such as neonatal genetic and metabolic disease screening, deafness gene testing and full spectrum vitamin testing.

As one of the seven nutrients in human body, vitamin is an indispensable trace element to maintain human health and normal physiological function. There are 135 kinds of common clinical diseases, 106 of which are caused by vitamin deficiency. Therefore, vitamin supplement has become an effective means of clinical nutrition rehabilitation treatment and postoperative nutrition rehabilitation treatment proposed by the state. At present, due to the rapid pace of life, unreasonable diet structure, irregular and other reasons, there is a widespread lack or imbalance of vitamins in Chinese population, which is a great threat to human health. The human body is in the state of vitamin imbalance for a long time, which will cause sub-health and even related clinical diseases. Yingsheng biology has always been committed to the application of precise medical detection methods to explore the pathogenic factors that threaten human health. The full spectrum vitamin 14 detection kit launched by Yingsheng biology can accurately detect the vitamin level in the human body, timely find out the potential vitamin marginal lack or excessive supplement, etc., to guide the proper intake of vitamins, prevent vitamin related diseases and develop related diseases. It is significant to improve the nutritional status and health level of the whole people.

The demand for vitamins and minerals such as folic acid, iodine and iron is increasing in pregnant women, but the actual intake is insufficient, often accompanied by the absolute or relative lack of multi vitamins and minerals, which may cause multiple pregnancy complications and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Proper supplementation of vitamins and minerals is an integral part of nutritional management during pregnancy, which can effectively reduce the risk of pregnancy complications and adverse pregnancy outcomes.

It is recommended to take 600 μ g folic acid from foods or synthetic preparations rich in folic acid every day, which may reduce the occurrence of neural tube malformation and other pregnancy complications. The benefits and methods of folic acid supplementation should be widely publicized for all pre - and pregnant women.

The proportion of iron deficiency anemia in pregnancy is as high as 42%. It is recommended to supplement 25-35 mg iron daily under the monitoring of blood iron index. If there is definite iron deficiency anemia in pregnancy, more iron should be added.

Vitamin D can be supplemented by diet (especially dairy products) or sunlight ultraviolet rays. However, it may be insufficient during pregnancy in winter, which may lead to the damage of fetal bone metabolism. It should be encouraged to supplement 1000 mg of calcium and 10 μ g (400 IU) of vitamin D daily during pregnancy.

For vegetarians, vitamin B12 is recommended.

For the pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia or the pregnant women with insufficient or unbalanced diet, it is recommended to take multi vitamin and mineral supplements. Multivitamin and mineral supplements may be beneficial for pregnant women with multiple pregnancies, past tobacco and alcohol habits, and human acquired immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.

The premise of using various nutritional supplements is still that they are safe and effective only on the basis of adequate and balanced diet.
